World's Smallest Snowman
NPL Digital Lab created the tiniest snowman in the world using something called sumfansimasheen. As cool as this is, why does the end result sort of gross me out?

If Only It Snowed In Austin
In Austin, we unfortunately don't get snow. Yes we did see snow flakes for 10 minutes that one afternoon, but not a real snow. Not one that can produce the materials needed to create beautiful snow sculptures and snowmen.
This is the best we can do with what we have:

Here are images of snow sculptures from around the world. In order to really feel like I'm there, I'm sitting in a bin of ice right now gazing at the computer screen.

FOILED AGAIN!
We're having our white elephant gift exchange today. My gift is still in my car waiting to be wrapped (it's Justin Case from the Safe Auto commercials--he's waiting in my trunk with a box of crackers I tossed in to tide him over).
Pat walked in with her bigger-than-life gift box beautifully wrapped, Matt brought the gift his wife bought yesterday, and Rick brought a mystery gift wrapped in foil.

Of course I immediately started guessing. Is it a bell? chocolate? a tiny hat? a tent for gnomes? a mole hill? a book?? even more foil???
He said he wrapped it with foil as an homage to our bookkeeper Regina. Regina, pronounced with a hard G as in "Go ahead and pronounce my name correctly," always brings sodas to work completely wrapped in foil. Her husband does this for her so that her coke stays ice cold and so other husbands in the office realize that they really need to step up to the plate. (Matt??)

However I find that the best advantage of wrapping your sodas is that once we hear that crinkle-crinkle, we know that someone is stealing one of Regina's drinks!
I still have no idea what is in Rick's gift. But I welcome other guesses so that after we unwrap this foiled treasure, we can see who's right!

Photoshop Disasters
Something tells me she's not actually this thin.

It's a romance novel, so you can't blame her for being too handsy.

She wouldn't be this happy if she realized Curves eats away at your pigment.

This woman has a tiny man hanging on her back.

"Before, I was a Sharpei, BUT LOOK AT ME NOW!"

Discover women who have feet-hands at Janet Reger.

John knew he was going to win the big game when he saw his opponent sitting in a chair on the court with no head.

If you wear this watch, you'll have wonk-eyes too.

What a great time was had at this charity event for people with no jaw.

Our Musical Meeting
At our agency we are fortunate in that we take the time to stop for a moment to regroup and emphasize the importance and power of working as a team. These meetings, usually lead by Rick, are inspirational, motivational, and extremely beneficial.
During our meeting this morning, we watched a video of four musicians singing "Hallelujah." Initially I was curious as to how it related to the subject at hand, but as I watched, it all became clear. Each musician sits facing the group. They each have their own part to play, their own lyrics to sing, and their own unique voice to share. And when they come together to sing, the result is perfection.
Please ignore the cheesy snow effect in the background. I believe this was filmed on the set of John Denver's Rock Mountain Christmas.

"Fortune Favors the Bold"
AdFreak posted Guiness' new commerical "Fortune Favors the Bold" where a bartender perfectly slides a beer across downtown into the hands of a businessman at just the right time.
I can't tell you how many times I've sat in meetings with my arm out the window, but the beer never comes when I want it to. It falls off the edge, someone else grabs it before me, or I accidentally grab a pidgeon.

Painting Your Photography with Light
Light Painting is a growing trend in photography. Not only are you capturing light with your camera, but you are using your own light source to enhance and paint your picture. It allows you to create some amazingly colorful photos that can show movement, can highlight the focus of a subject, or be the main focus of the photo.
Going to try this myself and post them here soon. If you are experimenting with light as well, please post a link here so I can check it out!
